Mr. Eddie Mincey Jr., age 70 passed peacefully away on Sunday Morning May 17th at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility after a brief illness. He was a Tattnall county native but resided in Bulloch County for many years. He retired from ITT Grinnell Cooperation and Briggs and Stratton of Statesboro. He was a member of Original First African Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 43 years Mrs. Sarah Mincey of Statesboro, Ga., his loving adopted children Ms. Sabrina Bonner and Ms. Ayden Mincey both of Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Rodrick Mincey of Atlanta, Ga., and Ms. Saniya Mincey of Claxton, Ga.; loving niece and nephews Ms. Marsha Mincey and Mr. Bernard Mincey both of Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Charlie Mincey of Claxton, Ga., Mr. Randy Mincey and Mr. Tyrone Mincey both of Anderson, S.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitation will be held Wednesday May 20, 2015 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Eddie Mincey Jr., will be held Thursday May 21, 2015 at 11am at Original First A.B. Church, West Main Street, Statesboro, Ga., with Pastor Frankie Owens Sr., Officiating. Interment will be held in Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 80 East, Statesboro, Ga. Mr. Eddie Mincey Jr., will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
