Obituary

Mr. Douglas Gray, age 63, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 21st at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Ga., after an extended illness. He was a Jenkins County native having resided in Bulloch County for over 30 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War. He was a retired employee of Georgia Southern University as an electrician. He is survived by a loving wife Mrs. Mary Love Gray of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving children Tony (Kimberly) Johnson, Don (Monica) Johnson, Terrie Brinkley, Teanna Brinkley, Jay Brinkley, Damian (Iresa) Moore, Sharon Dukes, Angela Gray, Chrystal Moore, and Felisha Moore all of Statesboro, Ga., Suprena (Roosevelt) Gray Hawkins of Erie, Penn., and Mary Spiller of St. Petersburg, Fl.; his loving parents Mr. I.W. and Gladys Gray of Erie, Penn.; a loving sister Mrs. Mattie Appling of Erie, Penn.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing for Mr. Douglas Gray will be held Friday July 1, 2016 from 2-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration will be held Saturday July 2, 2016 at 11am at the Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 67, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Craig R. Tremble, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in Eastside Cemetery, East Oliff Street, Statesboro, Ga., with full military honors. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
