Mrs. Dorothy George, age 84, of Pembroke, Ga., passed peacefully away on Thursday evening February 26th at Glenvue Nursing Home of Glennville, Ga., under the professional care of Spanish Oaks Hospice after an extended illness. She was a Bryan County native and was employed as a senior companion of Bulloch County until her death failed and she was a foster parent. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church of Pembroke, Ga. She is survived by her loving son Mr. Sholom George of Pembroke, Ga.; her loving brother Mr. James Garrison of Pembroke, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations will be Friday March 6th from 6-8pm at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Pembroke, Ga. Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday March 7th at 11am at Saint Christopher Catholic Church, 400 South River Street, Claxton, Ga., with words of comfort by Rev. Willie Earl Garrison. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
