Mrs. Doris Ann Abney Keel, age 63, passed on Tuesday June 21st at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga., after a long illness. She was a native of Joliet, Illinois having resided in San Diego, California for many years. She moved to Bulloch County, her husband hometown in 2005 and became a member of Believers Church. She retired as a nursing assistant from Kaiser Hospital in San Diego, California. She is survived by her husband Mr. Tom Josh Keel, Jr., of Statesboro, Ga.; one son Mr. Calvin(Aneta)Keel of Statesboro, Ga.; two stepsons Keith Keel of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Kenny Keel of Lubbock, Texas; two stepdaughters Marlene Keel of Miami, Fl., and Jackie Keel of Davie, Fl.; two sisters Mrs. Justin Cooley of Markham, Ill., and Christine Blunt of Calumet City, Ill., and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday June 25, 2011 at 11am in the Chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro, Ga., with Rev. Craig R. Tremble eulogist. Interment will be held in Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 80, Statesboro, Ga. Visitations will be Friday June 24, 2011 from 7-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
