Mr. Dennis O'day Brewton, age 62 of Manassas, Ga., passed peacefully on Sunday morning October 16th at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was Tattnall County native and was formerly employed with Claxton Poultry of Claxton, Ga. He was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Manassas, Ga. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mary Howard Brewton of Manassas, Ga.; a daughter Mrs. Felicia(William) Coney of Vidalia, Ga.; a son Mr. Omar Brewton of Statesboro, Ga.; three sisters Ms. Gail Brewton of Reidsville, Ga., Mrs. Alice(Tom) Burroughs of Columbus, Ga., and Ms. Linda(Henry) Brenton of Claxton, Ga.; four brothers Mr. Ronnie(Besty) Brewton of Augusta, Ga., Mr. Dale(Jackie) Brewton of Manassas, Ga., Mr. Larry(Janice) Brewton of Reidsville, Ga., and Mr. Donnie(Louise) Brewton of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren Ahmad Davis and Paris Coney both of Vidalia, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday October 22, 2011 at 11am at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Groveland Ga., Rev. Dr.L.Perry McNeal, Pastor and with Rev. Elee Brown, eulogist. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Mr. Brewton will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour, no viewing after eulogy. Family visitation will be Friday October 21, 2011 from 7-8pm at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Manassas, Ga.
