Mrs. Claudine Williams, age 88 of Savannah, Ga., passed peacefully on Friday April 7th at Pruitt Health of Savannah after an extended illness. She was a Bulloch County native having resided in Chatham County for many years. She was a member of the Johnson Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Portal, Ga., and was attending the Thankful Baptist Church of Savannah, Ga. She is survived by her loving daughters Mrs. Joann (Joe) Debrough of Hephzibah, Ga., and Ms. Cassandre L. Williams of Port Wentworth, Ga.; her loving sons Mr. Walter D. (Jeannette) Williams, and Mr. Lee Arthur (Sandra) Williams both of Savannah, Ga., and Mr. Freddie D. Williams of Rincon, Ga.; her loving sisters Mrs. Geneva (Rev. Robert) Canty of Statesboro, Ga., Mrs. Laurethia (Richard) Taylor of Akron, Ohio, Ms. Lillie Ward of Fort Valley, Ga., and Mrs Evelyn Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.; her loving brothers Mr. Dunbar "D.W" (Mary Lois) Ward and Mr. Hinton (Argentina) Ward both of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Services for Mrs. Claudine Williams will be held Thursday April 13, 2017 at 1pm at the Johnson Grove Baptist Church, Portal, Ga., with the Rev. Larry Cone, Officiating, and Rev. Maurice Hill, Pastor. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Mrs. Claudine Williams will lie-in-state from 12pm until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
