Mr. Calvin Smith Jr., age 87 of Register, Ga., passed peacefully on Wednesday October 5th at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church and sung with the Piney Grove Male Chorus. He is survived by his loving children Mrs. Thelma Dubois of Jacksonville, Fl., Mrs. Jennie (Eddie) Roberts and Mr. David (Cynthia) Smith both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., Mrs. Melinda Wright and Mr. Larry Smith both of Register, Ga.; a loving sister Mrs. Ruthie Mae Bradley of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitation will be Thursday October 13, 2016 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Calvin Smith Jr., will be held Friday October 14, 2016 at 1pm at the Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1579 Bragan Road, Statesboro Ga., with the Rev. Morris Reddick, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, 98 Harmony Church Road, Statesboro, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
