Obituary

Mrs. Betty Mobley, age 76, passed away peacefully on January 9th at her residence after an extended illness. She was a Screven County native, but resided in Bulloch County for many years. She retired as a dietitian from the Georgia Southern University. She was a member of the Elm Street Church of God, where she was on the kitchen ministry for many years. She is survived by her loving husband Mr. Willie Mobley of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving daughters Willie Mae Mobley of Statesboro, Ga., Arris Mobley (Keith) Perdue of Ellenwood, Ga., Tangie Mobley (Robert) Moses of Conyers, Ga.; her loving sons Willie Darrell (Vera) Mobley and Leslie Gerald Mobley both of Statesboro, Ga., and Willie Lee Mobley Jr., of Savannah, Ga.; her loving sisters Dorothy Lovett of Sylvania, Ga., Rosa Bell Ellison and Barbara Mainor both of Charleston, S.C., Pansy Bedford of West Palm Beach, Fl., and Phyllis White of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations will be held Friday January 12, 2018 from 6-7pm at the Elm Street Church of God, 29 Elm Street, Statesboro, Ga. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Betty Mobley will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 at 2pm at the Elm Street Church of God, 29 Elm Street, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Alexander Smith, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 80 East, Statesboro, Ga. Mrs. Betty Mobley will lie-in-state from 11am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
