Ms. Bertha Lee Pryor, age 66, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday morning April 17, 2011 at 1:45am after an extended illness at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. She was a native of Jenkins County but was raised and resided in Bulloch County for many years. She was a Home Health Care provider for many years until her health failed. She was a member of the Second Saint John Missionary Baptist Church. She is the daughter of the late Arthur "Shag" and Rutha Mae Wright Pryor. She leaves to cherish precious memories a son Mr. Tracy(Dana) Pryor of Statesboro, Ga.; six sisters Mrs. Eula(Jimmy) Alston, Ms. Lilette Pryor, Mrs. Shelly(Ray) Jones all of Statesboro, Ga., Mrs. Helen(Rufus) Fisher of Hillside, New Jersey, Ms. Evonne Pryor of Savannah, Ga., and Ms Everlene Shipman of East Orange, New Jersey; three brothers Mr. George Pryor, Mr. James(Bonnie) Pryor both of Statesboro, Ga., and Mr. Terry Pryor of Claxton, Ga.; five grandchildren Jamel Lester, Shelly Marshaye Pryor both of Portal, Ga., Chadon Jackson, Mario Jackson, and DeAndre Jackson all of Pittsburgh, Penn.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ms. Bertha Lee Pryor will be Saturday April 23, 2011 at 11am at Second Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, 1212 Hwy. 67, Statesboro, Ga., with Pastor Craig R. Tremble, eulogist. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Ms. Bertha Lee Pryor will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour, no viewing after eulogy. Family Visitations will be Friday April 22, 2011 from 6-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel in charge of services.
