Ms. Bernice Childers, age 69, passed away Friday, September 2nd, after a long illness under the care of Hospice Advantage, at her residence. She was born and raised in Pehokee, Fla., but lived in Statesboro for about 10 years. She was self-employed grocery store owner in Miami, Fla. She was a member of Statesboro Deliverance Evangelistic Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ann Childers Myles of Miami, Fla.; three brothers Mr. Josell(Fannie) Moore of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. Walter Childers Jr. of New Jersey and Mr. Willie C. Childers of Pehokee, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11am in the Chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro, Ga., with Minister Latoya Andrews, presiding, and the Rev. Raphele Smith as eulogist. Interment will be held in Mt. Zion A.M.E Church Cemetery, Highway 24 East, Statesboro, Ga. Viewing will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 10-11am at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
