Mrs. Barbara Herman McCluney, age 68, of Lanier GA., passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8th at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, GA. She was a Bryan County native. She resided in Jamaica, Queens New York for over 30 years before moving back to Bryan County. She retired as an LPN from both the VA Hospital in St. Albans, New York and Flushing Manor Nursing Home in Flushing, NY. She was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church, in Ellabell, GA. Barbara is survived by her loving husband Joseph McCluney of Lanier, GA.; sons, Robert Brown(Estelle) of Savannah, GA, Earl Herman(Wanda) of Savannah, GA., and Elroy Herman(Stacey) of Atlanta, GA.; daughters Rosalyn Bell(Shakur) of Atlanta, GA., Stephanie Alston(Wilson) of Savannah, GA.; grandchildren Wilson(Ajay)Alston, Matthew Alston, DeAngelo Brown, Jazmine Herman, Jocelyn Herman, Joia Herman, and Victoria Brown; two great grandchildren Demetris and Londyn Alston; loving sisters Mrs. Joan B. Jackson, Mrs. Annie Lizzie Thomas, and Mrs. Margie Dixon(Preston) all of Savannah, GA.; loving brothers Mr. Clifford Bostic of Metter, GA., Mr. Charles Edward Brown(Marie) of Walls, MS, Mr. Aaron Brown(Angela) of Savannah, GA., Mr. Zimbabwe Brown(Carolyn) of Atlanta, GA.; sister-in-law Ozzie Holt of Bronx, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Deacon Roy Brown and Annie Mae Brown and her brother Roy Brown Jr., all of Savannah, GA.
