Mr. Alfred Wayne Twiggs III, age 52, passed on Monday evening March 12th at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was a native of High Spring, Florida, but resided in Bulloch County since 1995. He was the son-in-law of the late James and Lillie Mae Brown of Statesboro, Ga. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served as a Sergeant. He was a graduate of Savannah Technical College with a degree in Electronic Engineering. He was employed with the City of Savannah as an Engineer. He was a member of the Greater Bethel A.M.E Church where he served as a Steward, member of the choir, and Finance Committee. He is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Marsha Brown Twiggs of Statesboro, Ga.; his father Mr. Alfred(Ruth) Twiggs Jr. of Hernando, Fla.; three sisters Mrs. Betty Jean(Harold) Goode and Mrs. Pamlamia(Johnny) George both of High Springs, Fla., and Ms. Cynthia Evon Frazier of Dunnellon, Fla.; two brothers Mr. Anthony Williams of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mr. Travis White of Gainsville, Fla.; two sisters-in-law Mrs. Beverly Brown(the Rev. Lewis) Wilson of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Polly Lawton of Stockbrige, Ga.; three brothers-in-law Mr. Terry Brown of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. Reginald(Janette) Brown of Decatur, Ga., and Mr. Benton Burdin of Neptune, N.J.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life services for Mr. Alfred Twiggs III will be Friday March 16, 2012 at 7pm at Greater Bethel A.M.E Church, Peachtree Street, Statesboro, Ga., with words of comfort by Pastor Stephen Lee. Funeral services will be Saturday March 17, 2012 at 2pm at Church of God by Faith, 1st Street, High Springs, Florida, with Rev. Michael Warren, eulogist. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hwy. 441, High Springs, Florida.
