Mrs. Mary “Macy” Hardy, age 87, passed away on Monday December 4th at the Azalea Health & Rehabilitation Center of Metter, Ga., under the professional care of the Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a Bulloch County native and was a member of the New Sandridge Apostolic Worship Center of Statesboro, Ga., where she served as Mother of the Church. She retired from Grinnell Cooperation of Statesboro, Ga.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband James “Jay Bird” Hardy Sr.

 

She is survived by her loving children Tracy Hardy of Pembroke, Ga., Christopher (Valerie) Young of Mt. Vernon, Ga., Quenton (Kevia) Young of Macon, Ga.; her loving step-children Dianne Andrews of Hollywood, Fl., Joyce Miller of Atlanta, Ga., Rosa Lee “Bootsie” Mills of Statesboro, Ga., Johnnie Mae Lee West and Maddie James, Willie (Omi) Roberson all of Brooklet, Ga., James (Laura) Hardy of Savannah, Ga., and Joseph (Denise) Hardy of Statesboro, Ga.; a loving sister Sarah Smith of Pembroke, Ga.; her loving brothers Curtis (Gerri) Rawls of Statesboro, Ga., and Alfonza Hagans of Pembroke, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Viewing will be held Friday December 15, 2017 from 2-7pm at the Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.

 

Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Mary “Macy” Hardy will be held Saturday December 16, 2017 at 11am at the New Sandridge Apostolic Worship Center, 16051 Burkhalter Road, Statesboro, Ga., with the Evangelist Angel Deloach, Presiding, and Elder Joseph Deloach, Eulogist/Pastor. Interment will be held in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 80 East, Statesboro, Ga.

 

Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
