Mrs. Jannie Palmer, age 97, passed away at her residence on Friday evening surrounded by her family under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a native of Saint Andrews S.C. but resided in Bulloch County for many years. She was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving daughters Mrs. Adell (Lonnie) Taylor, Mrs. Margret (Emmanuel) Thompson, Mrs. Gloria (Osella) Pope, Mrs. Betty J. Palmer all of Statesboro, Ga. and Mrs. Audrey (Sheldon) Osby of Douglasville, Ga.; her loving sons Mr. Joe L. Palmer of Savannah, Ga.; Mr. Charles Palmer and Mr. Melvin (Burnistine) Palmer of Statesboro, Ga.; Her Loving Sisters Mrs. Della (Paul) Nesmith of Saint Andrews, S.C.; Mrs. Louetta McCray and Mrs. Eva Mae Alston both of Miami, Fl; Mrs. Margret Wright, Mrs. Lillie Mae Cotton both of Rochester, NY; and a host of grandchildren.
Homegoing celebration services for Mrs. Jannie Palmer will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Snellas Place, 17 Allen Circle she will lie in state from 10 am - 11am with words of comfort from Mrs. Betty J. Palmer. There will not be a viewing after eulogy. Interment will be at the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 26 from 7pm-8pm in the chapel of the Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home.
