Earthy McBride Obituary

Earthy Mae McBride, affectingly known as "Miss Tit", passed into eternal rest on February 4, 2019 at the Heritage Inn Health & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.

She was born on September 1, 1936 to the late Boisy McBride, Sr., and Annie Mae Roberson McBride. A life-long resident of Bulloch County, she graduated from William James High School in 1959 and began her career at Bulloch Memorial Hospital, retiring from the laboratory in 1995 after 35 years of service. In retirement she enjoyed growing flowers and studying her Bible.

Miss Tit joined the Little Bethel Baptist Church at a young age and worked faithfully in many capacities; including Sunday School Teacher, Usher, and Pastor's Aide Chairman. She was also a member of the Brooklet Community Club, the Social Community Savings Club, and the Grand Charity of the Smooth Ashlar Grand Court F. & A.A.Y. Masons Naomi Court.

In addition to her parents, Miss Tit is preceded in death by her brothers: Boisy McBride Jr., George McBride, and John McBride. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted sister-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine McBride; her nephew that she raised June Harrison; her nieces and nephews Angie McBride, Christopher and Sandra McBride, Joan and Deon Hendrix, Gregory McBride, and Albert McBride; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family gives special thanks to the staff of the Heritage Inn Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Home Going Celebration for "Miss Tit" will be held Saturday February 9, 2019 at 11am at the Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 327 Railroad Street, Brooklet, Ga., with the Pastor John T. McPhatter, Officiating. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery.

"Miss Tit" will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy.
