Ms. Ardrena Jackson, age 80, passed peacefully on Thursday evening at Ogeechee Area Hospice after an extended illness. She was a Chatham County native having resided in Bulloch County for many years. She was employed with the Bulloch County Board of Education as a Para Professional Teacher at Sallie Zetterower Elementary School for over 40 years. She was a 1955 graduate of the William James High School. She was a member of the St. Mary's Baptist Church where she was in the church choir.
She is survived by a loving daughter Ms. Gwendolyn Jackson of Statesboro, Ga.; a loving mother Mrs. Wilma Lee Herrington of West Palm Beach, Fl.; a loving sister Mrs. Carolyn (Alvin) Jones of West Palm Beach, Fl.; a loving brother Mr. Willie “Billy” Jackson of Atlanta, Ga.; a devoted step-son Mr. Walter (Bridget) Campbell of Statesboro, Ga.; a loving aunt Mrs. Verdell Gentry of Cincinnati, OH.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends gathering will be held Friday May 25, 2018 from 6-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
Home Going Celebration for Ms. Ardrena Jackson will be held Saturday May 26, 2018 at 11am at the St. Mary's Baptist Church, 2227 Mallard Pond Road, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Timotheus Mincey, Officiatin/Pastor. Interment will be held in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 80 East, Statesboro, Ga.
In honoring the family request, there will be no public viewing for Ms. Ardrena Jackson
