Alvoy Mosley I Obituary

Mr. Alvoy Mosley I., age 51, of Portal, Ga. entered into eternal rest on Friday evening, June 29th, at St. Joseph/Candler Hospital after an extended illness. He was born on October 19, 1966 to the parents of WC and Sula Mosley. He was reared in Cambridge, Mass. He was a Bulloch County native and a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Mosley and Son Trucking Company.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his devoted wife of 25 years Velma Scott Mosley of Portal, Ga., daughters Victory Mosley, Victoria Mosley, Velta Mosley and Velma Louise Mosley all of Portal, Ga, one son Alvoy(Erica) Mosley II. of Portal, Ga., three grandchildren Amari, Nevaeh, and Jay’cion of Statesboro, Ga., parents WC and Sula Mosley of Portal, GA., sisters Marcella Mosley, Stephanie Mosley and Loretta (Wayne) McGuire all of Portal, Ga., one brother WC (Shauna) Mosley Jr. of Statesboro, Ga., mother-n-law Thelma Scott Ellison (Robert Earl White) of Statesboro, Ga., sister-n-laws Pastor Lisa (Elder Chris) Deloach, Judy (Randy) Smith, Sylvia (Harold) Bryant of Statesboro, Ga., Brenda (Tim) Ellison of Portal, Ga, brother-in-laws John (Willie Bee) Canty, Semmie (Toshia) Scott, father-in-law Semmie Young, two uncles Napeleon (Marie) Young and Leo (Evangelist Rosemary) Mosley, three aunts Mae Dell Lester, Annie Mae Lester, and Teresia Mosley and a host of many relatives and friends.

Family and Friends visitation for Mr. Alvoy “Big Al” Mosley I will be Friday, July 6, 2018, from 7pm-8pm in the Chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.

Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, July 7th, 2018, at 3pm at the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Williams Road, Statesboro, Ga., Elder Gary Wallace Pastor, with Pastor Lisa Deloach, Eulogist. Interment will be held in the Eastside Cemetery on Northside Drive.

Services are entrusted to the care of Craig R.Tremble Funeral Home Inc., Statesboro Chapel.
