Mrs. Martha Helen Peterson Rich, age 68, passed on Friday evening June 24th at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga., after a short illness. She was a Bulloch County native and a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she served as the Vice-President of the willing workers, worked on the kitchen committee, and on the Mission Department. She was a 1961 graduate of Williams James High School.

She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Alice Faye(Curtis) Hobbs and Ms. Gwen Rich both of Statesboro, Ga.; three sons Mr. Jeff Rich, and Mr. Johnny Frank Rich both of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. Randy Gene Rich of Savannah, Ga.; two sisters Mrs. Virginia Bazemore of Savannah, Ga., and Ms. Irma Peterson of Nevils, Ga.; three brothers Mr. Daniel Peterson of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. Johnny Peterson of Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. Vincent Peterson of Unadilla, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday July 2, 2011 at 1:30pm at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Youngblood Road, Statesboro, Ga., with Pastor Stanley Moore, officiating and Rev. Samuel Carlyle, presiding. Interment will be held in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, Harville Road, Statesboro, Ga.

Mrs. Rich will lie-in-state from 12:30pm until funeral hour, no viewing after eulogy.

Family visitations will be Friday July 1, 2011 from 7-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
