Deacon Thomas Lee Tremble, age 71, of Walterboro, S.C., passed on Saturday afternoon February 24th at his residence. He was a Bulloch County native, but resided Colleton County, S.C., for many years. He was a 1965 graduate of the William James High School of Statesboro, Ga. He retired from Capital Security Insurance Agency in Walterboro, S.C. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, Walterboro Chapter. He was a member of the Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a Deacon. He was affliated with Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Walterboro, S.C., and Sandhill Baptist Church of Millen, Ga.
He furthered his education attending Savannah State College(University) and graduated from Georgia Southern College(University). He has received numerous honors, recognitions, was highly skilled, humble but strong, possessed a quick whit and had many skills. He loved gardening, sharing with neighbors and assisting elderly.
He is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Dorothy (Dee Dee) Tremble of Walterboro, S.C.; his loving sons Mr. Shellton LaBron (Rai) Tremble, and Mr. Barry Tremble both of Atlanta, Ga.; his loving granddaughters Sage Tremble and Navauge' Tremble both of Atlanta, Ga.; his loving sisters Mrs. Ruby Phillips, and Mrs. Verna (the Rev. Danny Ray) Bennett both of Statesboro, Ga., Mrs. Shirley Huff and Mrs. Anna Childers both of Baltimore, MD.; his loving brothers Mr. John Bradshaw, Mr. Lamar Tremble, Mr. Roy (Lena) Tremble, and Mr. Arthur “Bud” Tremble, Jr., all of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. John Willie Bradshaw and Mr. Curtis Tremble both of Baltimore, MD.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends visitations will be held Friday March 2, 2018 from 6-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
Home Going Celebration for Deacon Thomas Tremble will be held Saturday March 3, 2018 at 11am at the Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church, 760 Magnolia Church Road, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Dr. Francy's Johnson, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery, with full military honors.
Deacon Thomas Tremble will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy.
